ATR Scientists

ATR Scientists Partners Inc. in Japan that was established in 2020 as a specialized company to develop and manufacture the UV/Vis Multiple ATR spectrometer (Optical Waveguide (OWG) spectrometer). The UV/Vis Multiple ATR spectroscopy (The OWG spectrometry) is a quite unique method that enables us to investigate the surface behaviour of molecules during catalytic reactions, photoreactions in the device, and so on while it has been very difficult to obtain such information using the transmission method of the conventional UV/Vis spectrometer. The UV/Vis Multiple ATR spectroscopy (OWG spectroscopy) is the method to utilize the evanescent waves that are generated at the total reflection of incident light at the waveguide surface.

SIS-5100 ATR

UV-Vis Multiple ATR Spectrophotometer-( Model SIS-5100)

The SIS 5100 Multiple ATR spectrometer has been developed on the basis of Optical Waveguide (OWG) spectrometer.

Optical Waveguide Spectroscopy is an epoch-making UV/Vis absorption spectrum measurement method that enables selective measurement of surfaces and interfaces of the sample, high-sensitivity real-time measurement, and collaboration with other measurement methods. The principle is shown in the figure below..
